‘Reflections on Porcelain’ is Nico Conti’s solo exhibition at the Malta Society of Arts, open until 23 October.

Spread across five conceptually distinct rooms, it merges traditional porcelain techniques with digital innovation to explore memory, transformation, and spirituality. Inspired by his grandmother’s glass cabinet, Conti presents his works behind fluted glass to evoke the haziness of memory. The final room, illuminated with around forty porcelain pieces, creates a near-sacred atmosphere. Using 3D printing, Conti bridges past and present, transforming porcelain, once fragile, into something enduring and radiant, echoing Edmund de Waal’s idea of it as “white gold.”
