Founded in 2022, Refugee Week Malta is a community-led festival that seeks to foster a more welcoming Malta, reclaiming the islands’ long-standing spirit of hospitality through connection, conversation, and shared experiences.
Through collaboration with artists, organisations, and communities, the festival creates vital spaces for dialogue on migration, asylum, and the human experience of displacement within Maltese society. By bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, it encourages participants to engage, reflect, and imagine new possibilities for living together in a more inclusive and compassionate community.
